About Us
Dr. Erin Trawick-Smith, DVM, CVA, CVMMP, CERPV
Dr. Erin Trawick-Smith is a Connecticut native. She caught the veterinary bug at a young age and spent most of her time at the stable until attending Barnard College in New York City, where she rode on the IHSA team. She assisted with cancer research at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology for a year before starting vet school at Tufts University, where she realized in her final year that horses are more fun than lab animals.
Dr. Trawick started Millington Equine in 2018 and has a special interest in equine reproduction, young horse development, and body lameness. In her spare time, you’ll often find her with her beloved Holsteiner mare, Kona, who is the basis for Dr. Trawick’s jumper breeding program, Trawick Sport. At other times, she is reading, working on her 1700s-era home, or chasing after her angry chi-pom, Tiny Bin.

In her free time, Dr. Berman enjoys reading, camping, baking, and traveling. She is also deeply passionate about volunteer veterinary care and has dedicated time to providing medical care in underserved areas. At home, Dr. Berman has a black Labrador and three cats, all of whom she loves and considers part of her family.
